Understanding Types of Massage

Swedish

Swedish massage is the most popular type of massage in the United States. It involves the use of hands, forearms or elbows to manipulate the superficial layers of the muscles to improve physical and mental health.

Deep Tissue

Deep tissue massage focuses on realigning deeper layers of muscles and connective tissue. It is especially helpful for chronic aches, pains, and areas of chronic tension. Compared to Swedish massage, the movement is slower and the pressure is deeper in order to reach the sub-layer of muscles and fascia (the connective tissue surrounding muscles).

Trigger Point

The results and benefits of trigger point massage are releasing constricted areas in the muscles thus alleviating pain. You can experience a significant decrease in pain after just one treatment. Receiving massage with trigger point therapy on a regular basis can help naturally manage pain and stress from chronic injuries.

Couples Massage

Share the massage experience together in the same room! Great for anniversaries, best friends or just because. We customize every massage to your specific therapeutic needs.

Prenatal Massage

Prenatal massage therapy is shown to relieve muscle aches and joint pains, reduce back pain and improve labor outcomes and newborn health. Prenatal massage therapy addresses different needs through varying techniques.

Please note, you must be in the second or third trimester of pregnancy.

Kyle

Massage Therapist

Hello my name is Kyle, I love long walks on the beach and sunflowers. I’ve been a massage therapist for 3 years. I’ve learned in my 3 years that most people don’t have the ability to relax unless you speak the magic words “Don’t worry I’m not gonna steal your *insert limb*”. Time of effect is variable depending on the client’s magic level. For more tips and tricks come and see me!
